Want to Get Rid of Deep Creases and Folds?

If you have deep creases and folds around your mouth, nose, and even your cheeks, you might feel like it’s tough to address these issues with over-the-counter creams and serums. You’re right; these products only tackle skin-surface issues, but deep creases and folds need to be tackled below the surface. That’s where anti-aging Sculptra injections come into play.

Why Do I Get Deep Creases and Folds?

Deep creases and folds can happen for a variety of reasons, including age, genetics, and even lifestyle factors (like smoking and drinking). Additionally, facial volume loss can contribute to the rise of these facial folds, which is why Sculptra works to add long-lasting volume in key areas of the face. Once the volume is introduced, the deep creases and folds temporarily disappear.

How Does Sculptra Work?

Sculptra is an FDA-approved filler that contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a compound that temporarily stimulates the body’s collagen production while providing temporary volume where it’s needed the most. Sculptra injections are most commonly used at facial sites like the cheeks, around the nose, and the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds and marionette lines).

Am I a Good Candidate for Sculptra?

You’re a good candidate for Sculptra if you have mild to moderate creases and folds in any of the facial areas listed in the previous section. You should be a healthy candidate with realistic expectations for your injections.
